talkSPORT betting tips – Best golf bets and expert advice for the RBC Heritage

Scottie Scheffler produced a magnificent performance on the back nine at Augusta National on Sunday to secure a second Masters title and the world's best golfer is immediately back in action at the RBC Heritage.

There had been doubts over Scheffler's participation in this PGA Tour Signature Event - his wife Meredith is expecting their first child in the coming days - but for now he's in the field at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Harbour Town, a tight, tree-lined venue which contrasts sharply in appearance to Augusta, has hosted the Heritage since 1969. Matt Fitzpatrick, who beat Jordan Spieth in a play-off a year ago, is the latest in a list of tidy, accurate operators to have claimed this title.

Two-time Masters champion Scheffler is not opposed lightly but, if there was ever going to be a week when his ridiculously high standards do drop slightly, it might well be this one.

RBC Heritage tips

Tommy Fleetwood to win & each-way @ 18/1

Tommy Fleetwood finished with a flourish at the Masters, firing a Sunday 69 which saw him grab a share of third place, and the Englishman looks to hold every chance of finally winning on the PGA Tour this week.

A prolific champion on the DP World Tour, Fleetwood was seventh at the Valero Texas Open the week before the Masters, which suggests his game is trending in the right direction, and his tee-to-green precision should see him shine at Harbour Town.

The 33-year-old has not quite put it all together in South Carolina but he shot 64-68 over the weekend when 10th in 2022 and he went into last season's final round with a chance to win before fading into a share of 15th place.

Patrick Cantlay to win & each-way @ 14/1

While several members of this week's field are teeing it up out of duty due to the Signature Event status, Patrick Cantlay is a regular Heritage competitor and the Californian has every chance of ending his trophy drought in one of his favourite tournaments.

Cantlay hasn't won a title since the BMW Championship in August 2022 but his accuracy is a huge asset at Harbour Town, where he has form figures of 3-6-3-MC-2-3.

While he never threatened when 22nd at the Masters, his irons looked sharp for much of the tournament and that's a big positive given how small the green complexes are at this week's venue.

Cameron Davis to win & each-way @ 50/1

Complete a three-man Heritage staking plan with course specialist Cameron Davis, who went well for a long way at Augusta National and has the ability to again make his presence felt on Hilton Head Island.

Aussie ace Davis relished the challenge last week, threatening Scheffler's lead in round three before eventually fading into a 12th-place finish as the pressure ramped up, but he was not the only one to struggle when the going got tough.

This week, he is back at a venue where he has finished third and seventh over the last two seasons.
